What is MyPEC?

MyPEC (Malaysia Practice Enterprise Centre) is a lifelike entrepreneurship and business simulation program based on a hands-on learning-by-doing approach.

At MyPEC, participants get the chance to learn and experience the rigmaroles of a business from A to Z through a simulated business environment called a Practice Enterprise (PE).

Program Fundamentals

The program covers core themes of entrepreneurship such as idea to market, business process, business acumen, business measurement, core human skills, governance and values.

The Methodology

The learning-by-doing methodology emphasizes hands-on practical learning by actually doing all the processes in a business. The simulated set-up also provides for a safe and risk-free environment where trainees are encouraged to learn from mistakes.

The Practice Enterprise

Participants run the virtual business known as a Practice Enterprise (PE) in a simulated economy supported by a behind-the-scene team that simulates the virtual economy from role playing suppliers, customers, compliance authorities etc.

Technological Tools

Technological tools based on current industry practices are embedded and utilized such as accounting software, bank account, business directory and more.

Role of MyPEC

MyPEC’s role is that of a service provider to provide all supporting services within the entire network predominantly as the Central Office. The Central Office is instrumental to maintain the virtual economy services that transact and deal with Practice Enterprises.

Programs

MyPEC provides both train-the-trainee and train-the-trainer programs for education institutions, entrepreneurship agencies and industry players. For the train-the-trainer program, mastery of the role as facilitator-coach or trainers is emphasized in order to be able in setting up and managing the Practice Enterprises in their own institution.
